Rolex has always understood the art of the sleeper, and the "Bruce Wayne" may be the quietest statement the modern GMT lineup has ever made. Introduced in 2024 to mark the model's 70th anniversary, this 2026 Rolex GMT-Master II, the reference 126710GRNR, arrives in a 40mm stainless steel case beneath a black lacquer dial. It is the discreet, grey-and-black sibling to the celebrated "Batman," and it wears its charisma with the collar turned up.
The 40mm stainless steel case is fitted with a two-color Cerachrom bezel in grey and black, and that bezel is really the whole story here. The grey half hides in shade, reading near-black until direct light coaxes it into a cool metallic silver, so a two-tone bezel behaves for all the world like a single tone. It is mounted on the sporty three-link Oyster bracelet with an Oysterlock safety clasp and the Easylink comfort extension, a combination that leans hard into the reference's tool-watch DNA.
The black lacquer dial carries applied markers and Chromalight hands, punctuated by a green GMT hand and green "GMT-Master II" text, a deliberate nod to the beloved 116710LN it spiritually succeeds. An arrow-tipped 24-hour hand and the bidirectional bezel track a second time zone with ease, while the date sits at 3 o'clock beneath the familiar Cyclops.
Inside runs the in-house automatic Caliber 3285, the movement that brought the GMT-Master II up to date with roughly 70 hours of power reserve. It is Superlative Chronometer certified and, in this Oyster-cased form, waterproof to 100 metres, the kind of engineering that lets a single watch move from a board meeting to a wedding to the beach without complaint.
