Our story

Buying and selling watches shouldn't suck, and it has… until now.

The collector selling a piece watches a third of its value disappear into fees, markups, and the quiet spread that auction houses and dealers never quite explain. The buyer, meanwhile, is asked to trust a photo and a paragraph, then wire five figures and hope. Somewhere between those two people is a watch that deserved better representation than either of them got.

ATP is what we built to close that gap. It's a marketplace for fine watches built around two ideas the rest of the industry treats as opposites: protect the seller's money, and earn the buyer's trust. We charge a flat 3 percent to sell, capped so that no listing, however valuable, is ever penalized for being worth more. Every listing can be independently verified before it ever reaches a bidder, so the person placing the bid knows exactly what they're buying. The result is a sale where the seller keeps what's theirs and the buyer gets what they were promised.

Around that core we've built the things serious collectors actually need. White glove handling for pieces that shouldn't be left to a shipping label. Reserve options for sellers who want a floor under their watch. Verification for buyers who want certainty instead of faith. None of it is upsold, and none of it is theater. It exists because a watch worth thousands of dollars deserves a process that takes it seriously.

What we're really building is a place where the watch comes first. Where provenance is documented, condition is honest, and the value you walk away with reflects the watch rather than the cost of selling it. That is AuctionTimepieces.com.

Meet our founders

Ricky

I've been collecting since I bought my first Rolex at twenty three, and the obsession never let up. My career runs through finance and decentralized assets, and for the last five years I've been investing in early stage startups, so I've spent a lot of time thinking about where value leaks out of a market and who quietly pockets it.

But the real spark came from a different passion. I love cars, buying them, selling them, living with them, and the one place that ever made that experience feel right was Bring a Trailer. I'd find myself scrolling it most nights, not because I needed anything, but because the experience was that good. Then I'd go looking for the same feeling in watches and it simply didn't exist. There was no proper venue to shop or scroll without handing over ten percent of the watch in fees. So I pitched the idea to my good friend and co founder, Hani, and for the past year we've been building the ecosystem I always wanted to exist.

Hani

I started out creating content for watches and fell in love with the art behind every timepiece before I ever thought about selling them. Selling came next, and I was lucky enough to take a company from nothing to over a hundred million in sales inside the first year.

Today I run Atelier Amiri out of Miami, which sits right between the two continents that move most of the watches in the world, so I've watched this market from the inside for a long time. I care about the business, which really means I care about the clients. What I keep seeing is people getting quietly fleeced, selling too low, bleeding ten and fifteen percent to commissions, overpaying in fees just to own the thing they wanted. So when Ricky brought me this idea, it wasn't a decision, it was obvious.

ATP saves the buyer money, opens him up to more resellers, hands him a community, even room to arbitrage. The seller pays nothing and simply gains clients. After everything I've watched this market take from people, building the side that finally gives something back wasn't a choice.
